I love South Coast Plaza during the holidays; it is beautifully decorated and it is a lot of fun for the kids. Here are all the fun holiday activities that they offer:
Holiday Celebrations at South Coast Plaza
● On both sides of the mall they have the holiday craft stations ($5-$10), fancy Christmas trees, hundreds of ornaments everywhere, a Christmas village with model trains, and Santa’s house where you can meet Santa, share your wish list and get a treat. You can also purchase pictures of course, but keep in mind that a meet & greet with Santa is always free 🙂
● In the Macy’s Home Store wing you can ride the Santa’s express train for $1. Open daily during the shopping center hours.
● On the main mall side, you can ride the reindeer carousel for $1. Open daily during the shopping center hours.
Keep in mind that Santa’s village in the Macy’s Home Store wing is only open Friday, Saturday, and Sunday until December 11th. It will be open daily starting December 16th.
Here is a quick tip: on weekends, visit Santa in the Macy’s Home Store wing. It is way less crowded.
