Boysenberry FestivalThe much anticipated Boysenberry Festival is back at Knott’s Berry Farm and it is better than ever! The 23-day food festival offers over 70 exquisite boysenberry themed dishes and drinks, a wine and craft brew tasting garden, pie eating contests, line dancing, and so much more! They also offer over 10 shows throughout the day including a brand new musical featuring Snoopy, Charlie and the entire Peanuts gang. One of the best ways to experience the Boysenberry Festival is with a Boysenberry Bites Tasting Card. For only $25, the tasting card includes generous portions of six delectable treats.

Wine and Craft Brew Garden:

The Wine and Craft Brew Garden offers 4 craft brews and over 50 different wines from 36 producers including boysenberry beer and boysenberry wine. For $25, you get 6 tastings and a generous fruit, cheese and cracker plate.

Entertainment and Show:

Knott’s currently offers 14 shows/activities throughout the day. So you can actually just spend the entire day watching shows and eating boysenberry inspired dishes.

Rides for younger kids:

There are a total of 14 rides at Camp Snoopy. Let me try to summarize what your kids can do depending on their heights. This is just as a reference, it is not 100% accurate 🙂

  • Kids less than 32 inches: they can go on 8 rides if accompanied by an adult
  • Kids 32-36 inches: they can go on 6 rides if accompanied by an adult plus 3 more rides on their own
  • Kids 36-42 inches: they can go on 6 rides with an adult, and 6 rides alone
  • Kids 42-48 inches: they can go on 11 rides alone, and 3 with an adult
  • Kids 48-52 inches: they can go on 13 rides on their own, plus 1 ride with an adult
  • Kids 52+: they can do almost everything but a couple of rides have a maximum height of 54 inches

Young kids can also go on the following rides with an adult: the Calico Railroad, Timber Mountain Log Ride (if 36 inches), Calico Mine Rides, Butterfield Stagecoach, Merry Go Round, Hat Dance (36 inches), Pacific Scrambler (26 inches), sky cabin, and Voyage to the Iron Reef.

Right now, a single day ticket is $48 if you purchase it online, $45 for kids 3-11 years old. The ticket price changes often, so you might want to check Knott’s website here.

Their annual pass starts at $91 which includes unlimited visits to Knott’s Berry Farm with no blackout dates. Click here for more info.

Parking: $18.

Food & drinks: boysenberry dishes can be purchased for $4-$10. The tasting card costs $25 and includes 6 tasty treats. The Wine and Craft Brew Testing card is also $25 and includes 6 tastings plus a fruit, cheese and cracker plate.

BABYCHELLAThe County of Orange and OC Parks are pleased to welcome the inaugural Babychella Family Art & Music Festival at Mason Regional Park in Irvine on Sunday, March 12 from 12 – 4 p.m. This free, family-friendly event invites parents and children to enjoy entertainment and activities in the park’s picturesque springtime setting.

Babychella Family Art & Music Festival will offer a variety of engaging activities for children including story time, face painting, and an interactive bubble village. Find a spot on the grass near the main stage and enjoy beloved songs and fun-filled sing-alongs fit for the whole family.

Participate in mommy, daddy and me yoga, pose for pictures in themed photo booths, and take part in various hands-on arts and crafts. Discover the newest trends from popular baby brands on-site and hear from family-oriented educational speakers. A kids’ costume contest will award a $200 gift card for the best bohemian festival style.

Eats from local food trucks will be available for purchase. Bringing blankets and lawn chairs is recommended. Restrooms and baby changing areas will be available. Activities planned are perfect for children five years and under, but enjoyable for all ages. The festival will take place rain or shine.

Meet the Autor at StorymakeryStorymakery’s “Author Reading & Writing Workshop” is an amazing monthly event that is great for children 4 years of age and older.

Kids will have the great opportunity to listen to a real author read a story and ask questions about the book or the writing process. Afterwards, kids will be able to write their own story, design the characters, and publish their own book! You will also get to take home an autographed copy of the author’s book!

My girl was ecstatic about the whole process and reads her published book every single night. I personally thought it was a terrific event and absolutely recommend it!
