You are going to love this! On Saturday, I created a fun itinerary for a mommy and me day and we had a blast. We first stopped at the renowned Gelato Paradiso in Laguna Beach for a mouthwatering ice cream, then we visited the Dr. Seuss art exhibit across the street which is an absolute must-see, and finally we explored the gorgeous tide pools at the north side of Main beach. Everything was within a block!
Parking: Park at Lot 6 – Glenneryre Street Structure in Laguna Beach, 501 Glenneyre Street, Laguna Beach, CA 92651. I always find a spot despite the fact that this parking lot is not that big. I went on a Saturday at around 3pm, and I found a spot immediately.
Ice Cream: Exit the building toward the beach and walk down a few steps. Enter the Peppertree Lane on your left side. This is where you will find Gelato Paradiso. Yes, you will see a long line, but it will be worth it. And the line moves fairly fast
Dr. Seuss: Exit Peppertree Lane towards the beach. Cross the street at Laguna Avenue and you will find yourself in front of the incredible Dr. Seuss art display. This is an exclusive collection of Dr. Seuss artwork that is available for sale but you can go visit the exhibit anytime for free. Click here for address and hours.
Playground & Tidepooling: Walk to the beach which is a few steps away. You will find a fun playground on the south side of the beach and tidepooling on the north side of the beach. Look for a volunteer next to the pools and ask for a tide pooling pamphlet where you can find a list all the little creatures inhabiting the area.
